“Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live.”
1 Thess 5:16-18 (The Message)
[Meditating on Psalm 103]
Bless the Lord, O my soul…
- for He is good
- He is rich in love and slow to anger
- His name is great and His heart is kind
Thank the Lord for…
- forgiving all our sins (name those known to you)
- healing all that ails you – in body, mind or spirit
- redeeming our life and the life of our nation
Ask the Lord to…
- continue to work righteousness and justice for all the oppressed
- undertake for those denied basic rights, including medical care at home or abroad (name those known to you)
- bless preparations being made for those returning to work and education
- bless preparations being made to re-open churches
Call on Him to…
- help us forgive those who have harmed us
- comfort those who are bereaved (name those known to you)
- grant strength to those facing life-threatening or life-denying conditions (name those known to you)
Remembering that our God is…
- infinitely compassionate and gracious
- and that His Kingdom rules over all
Amen
