Sunday services are held in the church in Shotts at 11.00am and at 12.30pm in Allanton Kirk.

In our preaching and teaching, we recognise the importance of the Bible as our main guide and compass in matters of belief and practical actions. In sermons and reflections, the Minister and the local worship leader, recently approved by Presbytery, George Scott, take passages from the Bible to bring out what is there – to direct and challenge our lives.

Iain also recognises the truth in a quote from Eugene Peterson: "Ministers think that people come to church to listen to sermons. They don't. They come to pray and to learn how to pray."

We celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the 1st Sundays of March, June, September and December at both Shotts and Allanton as well as home communions for the sick and housebound and at Rosehall Manor Care Home.

A group of members leads a monthly informal praise service that is much appreciated in Rosehall Care Home.
